Zambia 2019

Hi All
This is the first post on the blog site for Zambia 2019 Tour.

The sponsored run on 17th and 18th May has raised well over £2000 to support our projects in schools in Zambia - well done to all involved.

I have also arranged to 'adopt' Kasewe an elephant in the Lilayi Elephant Orphanage - we will visit to see her during our trip.

Last day of training and Victoria Falls!! (and another candle lit dinner!)

Victoria Falls By Eva Roberts After being woken up by the sound of the church bells we had breakfast and headed out to coach for the final time.  When we arrived, all the amazing kids were raring and ready to go, all trying their hardest to be picked for the final tournament.  The kids were so cute and even though being exhausted I loved every second of it. Livingstone Tournament , the last one!! Zambezi River Cruise

Tournament Day By Hal Williams Hello all, today was an early start as our dorm woke up at 5.40am because of the wrong alarm!  We got to the rugby pitches at 7.30, the teams slowly rolled in and around 20 teams turned up.  We reffed until around 1.30 and gave our second polo shirts to the winners and gave all the spare kit to the schools.  We had classic cheese/ham sandwiches and at 3.45 we traveled to the sunset cruise and ate food and got to see crocodiles, hippos and elephants.  The views were stunning and the trip was different, but enjoyable experience. Blog Extra: The sights, sounds and smells of Africa!

Good Morning to All Just a few notes as I had to get up early to move our minibus to allow an overland truck to get out of the compound. You can never pick up on the true Africa from television programmes - it is only when you are there that the sight, sounds and smells really come over.  So when I went in to the boys room yesterday the true assault on the senses became a reality!!!! Holding my breath for that long was a challenge! On a more healthy note a few more images form yesterday: Eco brick manufacturing and Safari experience today! Chris
