Coaching Day One!

By Niamh Wilson

We were up and out early this morning and ready to leave to go to our first coaching session.  My group and another went to one place and the other two two groups to another.  It was so much fun with all the kids and teaching them!  All the kids surrounded us immediately, eager to learn and play.  Firstly, we taught 5th grade, then 4th.  Although there was a slight language barrier, we managed to work everything out perfectly.  Even though they didn't properly understand us, they did as best as they could and you could tell by their faces that they were enjoying every bit of it.  After the training sessions were over we went back to the campsite for lunch, and then went back out, nearly leaving two boys....(as they were late!) Everyone but Emily, Ella, Leo and I went to do more coaching but we went to teach a dance. Once again, everyone was eager to learn so we got into it straight away.  After we taught the dance they showed us some of their moves and we all tried it out.  Then us four, and Miss Perks got our hair played  with and braided! It's safe to say it was an incredible day and i can't wait to do it all again!!
