Day 7
My Birthday By Millie Ryan
Hey everyone, what a way to be spending my birthday here in Zambia. Not only do I wake up every morning to be surrounded by giraffes and zebras, I also get to see the bright confident faces of young children.
Today I coached grade 4 and 5 in the morning, I love seeing them so eager to play with the little they have. Then I coached grade 4 on a different pitch and all the younger children sung Happy Birthday to me which was so sweet!! We then came home and had lunch and a rest. At 1.30 my group and I headed to a new rugby ground and coached the school Kings Park, they were very co-operative and were great at English. After coaching, all the groups gathered and discussed our experiences. My favourite story from the day was that Georgie got wee-ed on by one of the children! When we got home I contacted my parents (miss you Mum, Dad, Finn and all my grandparents). I am currently eating dinner and we are having sausage and potato and beetroot and it's delicious!! Lots of love Millie, see everyone soon!
Tournament Day tomorrow! 06.30 Depart from Eureka to beat the traffic through the city centre to the North near the National Stadium. Should be an interesting Blog tomorrow.
