Day 9 : I spilled lasagne on this......

By Leo Cooper

Today was the second day running that we woke up at 5.30 ready for a 6.30 departure from camp. We gt to SOSCO and began setting up the pitches. soon the 400 kids began flooding in singing all the way. once all the teams had been sorted and the national anthem had been sung it was time for my dancers to shine. We had so much fun performing "we're all in this together" and the kids all enjoyed themselves. Then the reffing began. Although finding our teams was a struggle and there were a few wobbles, me Maisie and Ella pulled through, being in charge of the pitch with the most matches. After a long day of ups and downs , my favourites (shh don't tell) Guardian Angels won the overs tournament. Then we said all our goodbyes to all our new friends we made and headed back to camp for lasagne. Max wont let me leave until I put him in, he's hip swag.

Sosco Tournament Day
By Libby Earl

We were meant to be up and getting ready at 5.30 to leave at 6.30 yet, me being me, i woke up at 6.20 and managed to rush me and Tiyana out of the room. missing breakfast.  We drove to Sosco and started to set up the pitches and a few of the cute smiley faces of the children ran over and helped us prepare.  As the tournament progressed we gradually began to reunite and talk to some of the kids that we coached this week and last week.  They were all so lovely and friendly and always happy.  The kids treat us like royalty and really look up to us, yet really, we are the ones idolising them and learning so many important  things from them.  All of the girls love my hair as, if some of you don't know, I am blonde and they even said it was soft and beautiful. They are so kind and polite and gentle with us and always come and ask us how we are which is so sweet.
100% of the kids that were playing were so enthusiastic and were trying so hard and it was so pleasing to experience.  Everything has been put into perspective and I think everyone can agree that we have realised how lucky we are.  Overall today has also been an emotional day as many of us have become attached to some of the kids and we had to say goodbye to them.  We have thoroughly enjoyed coaching them and seeing them progress and have fun, and therefore leaving them today was very sad.  However we will always  remember them and how amazing they are.  Anyway we are currently eating dinner now so I have to go now, byeeee!
Love and miss you all, mum, dad, Will, Stanley and the rest of my family xxx
P.S.
Happy Birthday Mum for today and Happy Birthday Will for the 22nd!xx
