Elephant Damage, Bottle Bricks, Coaching, Candle Light Dinner for 28! and Deep Fried Caterpillars!!!!!!!!!!

Evening Everybody
Elephants attacked a wall at Sawmills school to ravage the crops inside a couple of nights ago causing major damage. We were coaching in schools during the morning and then in the afternoon learned how to make bottle bricks for a local project.  In the evening it was a candle-lit dinner as the power was off.  Deep fried caterpillars did not go down that well and the stuffed chillies may cause a few difficulties in the morning!!

First Full Day In Livingston By Niamh Wilson

First of all, Happy Birthday to my dad I hope you have had an amazing day even without me ;) I miss everyone back at home lots and love you all!
Anyway, today was our first day of coaching in Livingston and we were all up and about by 8am and then back for lunch about 1ish.  All the kids we coached were over the moon about learning how to play Tag Rugby, although it could have been because they missed a lesson.  After lunch we made eco-bricks from plastic bottles, which I thought was a great experience and also amazing for the environment.
We were lucky enough to go out for dinner and it is safe to say it was very yummy!  After dinner we had a little boogie with some other people staying at Fawlty Towers, which I thoroughly enjoyed and got stuck in, and I guess that brings us to now.  Once again Happy Birthday Dad, Love you loads xxx

Happy Birthday Mum By Leo Cooper

Hello to everyone who comments on the blog, so that's not you Philippa Cooper!
This morning was the latest I have woken up so far on this holiday, a cracking 7am.  We set off for our first session where we were greeted by lots of smiling and waving children, although they are less privileged than us, you never get to see how their faces light up when they see you.  All of that aside we did hear about elephants destroying a local school and eating all of its crops.  After a long wait for the bus to arrive, we were dropped back to Fawlty where we found we weren't coaching again today "sigh".  In the afternoon we headed back to the rugby ground where the volunteers from Africa Impact told us about eco-bricks: bottles stuffed with litter used to build walls and benches, don't get any ideas mum!  After starting our own bricks, we headed back to Fawlty and went on a shopping trip to the supermarket.  Then we headed out to Cafe Zambezi, where I got a Caribbean pizza with pineapple, yes pineapple and bacon!
Once we returned home we were welcomed back by a group of partying locals.  We danced around the fire pit and sang - seems the caterpillars weren't the only taste of Africa we got tonight.
Lastly, a huge Happy Birthday to my Mum, I'm not going to say how old she is because she would kill me! But I hope you have had a great day, Love and miss you all Leo xx
