Evening Everyone
Just a brief update: Tujatane school (Tongabezi) is a school about 20km from Livingstone that was founded for the staff at Tongabezi Lodge but has grown in to a school for all the poor and underprivileged families in the area. The rule is that all children must walk to school - at the moment in groups because of elephants!  I have arranged to sponsor their sports programme on the understanding they develop Tag Rugby . They will send a regular update on their sports fixtures.

In addition we have made a donation to Zambezi Sawmills school where the elephants 'broke in' and as the pictures above shows smashed through a wall and devastated the crops. When I was there today I was told one of the bull elephants came back last night. The donation will help start the re-building and crop replacement.

One more day of coaching and Victoria Falls tomorrow!

Thursdays Exciting Adventures By Rosa Tims

Today we got up early to no-ones surprise and went to our first school.  My group went to the same school we went to yesterday and we saw the destruction caused by two hungry male elephants wanting food.  After 2 hot hours coaching, we went back for lunch (which was the same as every other day).  We then went back to the rugby club and had a game of tag rugby.
Then tonight people came and sold us wooden animals and all sorts of things that were carved beautifully form various different woods.  I ended up spending a fair amount but it was a good cause so I don't feel bad! Hope everyone is good back home and I can't wait to see you all!

Amber Bought A Zoo - Alexis Hogbin

For our last full day of coaching we woke up at 7.00. (which is pretty late compared to the times we woke up in Livingstone.)  In our separate teams we coached schools for almost 3 hours and came back to Fawlty Towers for lunch and a break.  For my second coaching of the day we walked to the local rugby club only to find there were no kids to coach, so everyone decided to play their own game of Tag Rugby.
After another break and shower we decided to avoid the caterpillars from last night and we played it safe by eating at an Italian restaurant where everyone ate either pasta or pizza.  Finally after arriving back, we all spent money on buying souvenirs where the money goes to a local village which produces goats milk for babies whose parents who have died of HIV or are unable to produce milk.  I'm sure Amber managed to feed an entire family by buying an entire zoo of African animals.
P.S.
Love and miss you lots mum, Dad, Bradley and to Chloe and Maelys I can't wait to see you! Alexis

It’s such an eye opener with the elephants , we in the West love and want to protect them but they cause a lot of issues for the locals😔. Libby your hair is looking very wild😂 are you sure you can get a brush through it? See you very soon love Mum and Dad xx
